Pilot success fee
When a pilot converts into a paid engagement, both sides confirm the value and start date in the pilot thread. PilotSlate invoices the startup 10% of first-year pilot value. Nothing is owed on unpaid pilots, on deals that don't close, or on relationships that started outside PilotSlate.
Paid plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled any time from your dashboard. Free accounts include 1 listing, 3 brief applications a month, 2 open briefs and 5 AI matches a day.

- What does PilotSlate cost?
- Browsing and listing are free. Startup Pro is $149 a month and Scout (for buyers) is $399 a month. PilotSlate also charges the startup a 10% success fee on first-year value when a pilot converts into a paid engagement.
- What do free accounts include?
- One published listing, 3 brief applications a month, 2 open briefs and 5 AI match searches a day.
- What happens if I cancel a paid plan?
- Paid features stay on until the end of the month you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Existing listings stay live.
- Is there a fee on unpaid pilots?
- No. Nothing is owed on free pilots, deals that don't close, or relationships that started outside PilotSlate.
